Who lives in you

Your body hosts roughly the same number of microbial cells as human cells. They’re mostly helpful — and you can’t live without them.

This is why antibiotics, ultra-processed diets, and high stress can mess with mood — they all reshape the microbiome. Research is still early but the link is clear.

When antibiotics matter

Antibiotics save lives — but they wipe many helpful bacteria too. Take them ONLY when prescribed, and finish the course. Eating fiber + fermented foods afterward helps rebuild.
